If you enjoyed Roller Coaster Tycoon as a child, or even Farming Simulator 13’, you will greatly enjoy Farming Simulator 15’. This year’s game introduces us to the world of high tech lumberjacking, which is admittedly a very cool new feature of the game. Unfortunately, it is also why this game did not receive a better rating. What really disappointed me about this game is getting woodchips. It involves a unique system of a tractor towing a trailer with a wood chipper and crane attached. The problem is the chipper will only take small pieces of logs, which can only be picked up by the extremely challenging to use crane. It would be much faster and much easier to just pick up the logs and throw them into the chipper ourselves. I speak from experience. When I was twelve years old, I would take logs and throw them into a wood chipper by hand, and it was easy. It couldn’t be that difficult for a fully grown farmer to do the same. Besides this bumfuckery, lumberjacking is a pretty cool new feature. Crop farming and livestock ranching are still the same as in Farming Sim 13’, but with beautiful new graphics and beautiful new tractors. All of these features make Farming Simulator 15 well worth playing, and I encourage you all to try it.
